Introduction:
Romen Ghosh has achieved much recognition in the field of sports.
He represented India internationally for 15 years. In 1970, he was ranked number one badminton player in the Men’s Singles category. In 1974, he won the Bronze Medal for India at the Asian Games held in Tehran. He also received the Arjuna Award, which is the most prestigious sports award by the Government of India, in 1974.

He retired in the year 2000 as the Assistant General Manager, Steel Authority of India Limited. At present he is the Chairman of the State Badminton Committee, Calcutta, India. He is also extending his badminton expertise to trainees of Excellence Scheme of the Sports Authority of India.
Having a background of sports as a star performer, Romen Ghosh could detect the tremendous potential hidden in the school. The school which was earlier concentrating on Academic, Artistic, Creative and Humanity excellence, was beginning to raise the standard of sports education. Romen Ghosh, when offered, decided to accept the position of a Trustee. He knows that if this school could bring out brilliance in the field of Academics, Music, Art and Humanity, it will bring out brilliance in sports as well. He, along with all members of Vkidss aspires to provide each and every child with a world class sports facility fit for Olympic standard athletes.
