Teacher’s Day Celebration 2018

A good teacher is an Acharya. A teacher has to live what s/he inspires for the students to follow and imbibe in their life. At Victorious Kidss Educares, the philosophy for ‘teaching and learning’ is to discover the secret power from within every child’. A teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love for learning. That is the motto of our school, “Learning to love to learn”.
A teacher or a parent may unknowingly destroy it too. Therefore, tremendous attention and close monitoring goes on, at VKE for the professional development without policing. This is done with freedom and yet laying down a thin line, which no one is allowed to cross. Parental training, equally is imparted, to monitor and develop a healthy exchange in values, missions and goals.
A child leaves the mother, only because they trust the teacher equally or more. A Teacher provides an ambience, where the complete development takes place, a holistic growth of human characters as well as values are developed in the child. Parents are aware, that otherwise the child’s full potential may stay hidden, as has happened to most of us, as teachers, adults and parents. Teachers always guide and inspire every child, therefore to mark a tribute to the contribution of teachers, 5th September is celebrated as Teachers’ Day in India.
We fondly remembered Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary, who served as the second President of India and was a humble recipient of the Bharat Ratna. He was a teacher of great repute, a legend. His students, followers, disciples and well-wishers requested him for a celebration on his birthday ~ which was on September 5th. However, Dr. Radhakrishnan chose that his birthday be dedicated to all educators and be celebrated as Teacher’s Day each year. Since then, from September 5, 1962, his birthday is celebrated as Teacher’s Day in India. World Teachers’ Day, also known as International Teachers Day, is held annually on October 5.
There are no sources of knowledge, that comes without the help of a teacher. Teaching is one profession that creates all other professions. They lay the foundation of a good human race, a civilized world and work towards a progressive society. Their noble, dedicated, thoughtfully devoted work and efforts deserve, lifelong recognition. The whole country joins together and celebrates each year, this special day, to revere our wonderful teachers.
The program started with Guru Vandana by Aparna Ma’am, it was a captivating performance and an ideal beginning of the show.
It was followed by a foot tapping performance by our very own talented and enthusiastic teachers.
Not just the teachers, we too had some parents, from our dedicated PTA Team, amongst us, who were excited to praise the teachers, who have given their heart and soul to make their children to stand tall and powerfully different, today. They said, “Teachers are the shapers and guiders for our children, we are grateful to them from the bottom of heart”. One of the parent symbolized mother as Devaki and teacher as Yashoda. It was a very kind and appropriate commendation for teachers.  Our dance team performed a flawless salsa dance with teachers, everyone was astonished to see the performance.
Next in row was an out of the box and very innovative recital act, that was a comedy, drama, song, dance and fun all rolled into one. Each bit of this sequence was amazing to watch.
The students of Victorious Kidss Educares showed their love, affection and gratefulness to teachers in the form of a song. Students meant to say, “Dear Teachers, we may not say every day, but your inspirational words are like beautiful footprints that have been etched in our heart and mind forever”.
Now it was the play time for teachers, they were made to play a rally game, wherein four teachers in a team had to finish food in sequence, without using the hands.
It was followed by speech by Principal ma’am where she distributed prizes for ‘content’ competition and thanked teachers for their continuous efforts and dedication. She said, “A teacher’s purpose is not to create students in their own image; but to develop students who can create their own image”. Then our President Sir addressed the teachers and audience. He thanked and complemented the teachers for creating kids, who stand out today, as truly victorious. He cautioned them, however, not to be complacent and to continue to keep the search for perfection, from within the child. He called their attention to that teachers and parents, have the secret power from within to create country. The best gift you can give to someone, is Wisdom. The wisdom given by teachers is utilized by students, throughout their life time.
All great masters of Ancient India are teachers, who have enlightened many minds, many minds.
Sir, in the words of Swami Vivekananda, stressed three (3) tips for all teachers and parents:
1. Build self confidence in your children, that “They know they can”.
2. Have a mission, a goal in life, concentrate and work towards it.
3. Anything you do, do it with absolute truth, absolute purity and be patient. Result will come.
