Kshitij Palekar – Student Achiever

Do you know? With an elevation of 8,848 metres (i.e. 29,199 feet), is Mount Everest is the height of Earth’s highest mountain. Only 5,000 people have summited Mount Everest till now. The climb follows months of rigorous training and acclimatizing to the low oxygen environment at high altitudes. We feel proud and extremely delighted to inform you that Kshitij Palekar from DP1 has successfully completed mountaineering course from Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) and he is looking forward to his Everest expedition in April 2020. A mountaineering organization, Giri premi has shortlisted 5 members from Maharashtra and Kshitij is the youngest one of them. Kshitij started his trek journey from the age of 7, and never stopped again. His achievements include completed treks to Goechala in Sikkim (16207 feet), Nadadevi base camp (12795 feet), Milan glacier, Kuwari pass (14000 feet), Stoke Kangri (20187 feet), Kang Yatse2 (21312 feet), Markha Valley (17060 feet).

Kshitij speaks, “It’s my dream to scale Mount EVEREST and I have been living my dream since my childhood. I am putting my heart and soul to achieve my dream and in this Journey, my parents and my Guru have been doing everything to make it happen. God is with me and I am sure he will help me in fulfil my dream. But still, I need blessings and best wishes from all of you”.

A bright star of Victorious Kidss Educares is currently leading the boys and girls as The Director of Sports in this International Baccalaureate (IB) school. His other achievements include district level championship in shot put, handball and basketball, he holds blue belt in karate. Real proud moment for all of us, as Kshitij has scale up even higher. Sky is the limit for him. He has truly become a champion. Kshitij, started his journey, very early at Victorious Kidss Educares, an IB World school.
