MYP3 Cultural Fest

“Culture is the widening of the mind and of the spirit”
~ Jawaharlal Nehru

Truly inspired and motivated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s thoughts, MYP3 students organized Cultural Fest on 13th January 2020 at Victorious Kidss Educares, Kharadi Pune.  The students from all three sections of MYP3 Inquirer, MYP3 Risk-Takers and MYP3 Balanced participated in this event with great pride of their own cultural aspects. The theme of this Cultural Fest was:

CULTURE FORMS A PART OF OUR SHARED IDENTITY WITH OTHERS, IS OFTEN DEPENDENT ON TIME, PLACE AND SPACE, AND CAN BE EXPRESSED IN MANY WAYS”

This Cultural fest was systematized to give conceptual and practical knowledge on different local, national and global cultures, which helped to explore and exhibit various aspects of students own culture by performing in this Fest. Students got an opportunity to express their own culture and also different types of cultural activities via, food, attire, language, arts and music. This Fest also supported our students to explore different ways in which we discover and express ideas, feelings, nature, cultural beliefs and values.

Students had demonstrated and exhibited the following aspects during the cultural fest

  • Displayed their own cultural Food
  • Discussed their own cultural Attire with the visiting member of the school
  • Identified and communicated in their mother tongue
  • Explored and presented the cultural Arts and Music by live performances.

This was a wonderful opportunity and experiences for our students to showcase their culture and stay rooted with them. Everybody enjoyed and adored the Cultural Fest and it was highly appreciated by teachers and other staff members of the school.
Some highlights of the cultural fest ~ Marwari, Marathi, Punjabi, Haryanvi, Islam (Muslim), Sindhi, Bihari, Punjabi, Gujrati and Goa stalls.

IN THIS WAY CULTURAL FEST ENDED WITH A LOGICAL CONCLUSION
“If I were asked under what sky the human mind has most fully developed some of its choicest gifts, has most deeply pondered on the greatest problems of life, and has found solutions, I should point to India” ~ Max Muller
