PYP 5 Exhibition & Graduation Ceremony 2016-17

The Primary Years Program (PYP) exhibition represents a significant event in the life of our PYP students. As a culminating experience, it is an opportunity for the students to exhibit the attributes of the International Baccalaureate (IB) learner profile, that they have been imbibing within themselves, throughout their engagement with the PYP and the five essential elements of PYP i.e. concepts, attitudes, skills, knowledge and action.
The PYP 5 Exhibition and Graduation ceremony, of Victorious Kidss Educares was held on Saturday 29 April 2017 at the Kharadi campus. The Exhibition started off in the morning, with the students explaining their group’s theme to the parents and esteemed guests, through various colorful charts which they had made after thorough research on the subject. Later children performed mime, puppet show, role play, poem recitation etc. Guests were truly amazed after seeing our children engaged in a collaborative, trans-disciplinary inquiry process that involved them in identifying, investigating and offering solutions to real-life issues. This exhibition is the summative of the PYP journey and marks the transition to MYP. All the stakeholders i.e. the students, teachers, parents, staff played a major role in the process.
The School organized a systematized gala evening function for the Graduation Ceremony, which celebrated and commemorated the distinction conferred on every PYP student with certificates and trophies. Teachers and mentors were also felicitated. Various cultural programs added color to the evening. Our President addressed the gathering and spoke about the role of the children in shaping our country and how the choices made by the students, decide on what heights, would they grow to. He asked the parents to dream big, guide the children to continue to dream big and that is the philosophy ancient India and of the school. He quoted Lawrence of Arabia, (T. E. Lawrence), “All men and women dream. But they wake up in the recesses of midnight, to find it was only a dream. Dangerous, however, are the men and women who dreams during the day time with their eyes open, because they make their dreams come true.” He said, as quoted in the Bhagavad Gita by Sri Paramahansa Yogananda, ‘God talks with Arjuna’ – Chapter II, Volume I, Verse 31, Page 246, “India the conquered would conquer her conquerors in the 21st Century”. These are the children who are going to create that future India.
Discovering the secret from within every child, is schooling, is parenting. This school is devoted to help every child become a ‘good human being’ first. The celebration embarked a transition in the life of the young graduates, who threw their caps in excitement and pride to have achieved this milestone. The entire celebration was a day to remember.
