“What treasure lies in front of us, outside of us,
Is nothing compared to what lies within us.”

From this material mire, all souls to save
To transcend to divinity, lessons he gave
A truly enlightened soul, a man proficient in many arts
His moral, ethical sermons ignited many hearts”

The school was beautifully decorated with artistic pillars, flowers, drapes and pots. The program began with the lighting of lamp by Sir Robbin Ghosh and Saarada Ma’am to spread the divine grace. First performance was a mesmerizing classical Tarana dance by Radhika Ma’am and Sonal Ma’am on the rhythm of the live Tabla, Flute, Harmonium and Guitar by our music team. Second performance was an inspiring historic play echoing an inspiring conversation between Yogananda Paramahansa and Rabindra Nath Tagore. These two legends met while they both were contributing in the world of education, and wanted to start a school. It was a stunning act, where audience felt like they have witnessed those great times. It was followed by an energetic dance performance depicting Shiva Tandav, by our dance team that left everyone’s foot tapping to the beat.
The event concluded with a speech by our President, Sir Robbin Ghosh, in which he implored that our mind is terrible master but a great slave. It would keep changing and distract you, but if you exercise inner discipline, you will attain your consciousness. Everything you experience, you experience with your mind. If you can learn to control your mind with the help of meditation, you’ll discover that being blissful is natural. He also emphasized on the importance of yoga and meditation in our lives and motivated us to, take up the path created for the sincere seekers by Yogananda, to unravel the infinite wealth within, instead of simply seeking the finite materialistic world. He concluded with an appeal to follow this path towards discovering the secret power from within us.

Change yourself and you have done your part in changing the world
